Privacy policy

Last updated: June 2026

This policy explains what information calcgeeks collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. In short: the calculators run entirely in your browser, we don't ask you to create an account, and the main data collection on this site comes from advertising and analytics cookies.

The short version

Information we collect

Information you actively provide

If you email us through the contact page, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your email address and message. We use it only to reply and, where relevant, to fix a reported problem.

Information collected automatically

When you visit, standard technical information may be collected automatically by our hosting provider and by the third-party services below: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, and pages viewed. This is used to keep the site secure, understand which calculators are useful, and serve advertising.

Calculator inputs

The numbers and dates you enter into a calculator are processed locally by JavaScript running in your browser. They are not transmitted to us or stored on a server by calcgeeks.

Cookies and advertising

calcgeeks uses cookies and similar technologies, including for advertising and analytics.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking cookies will not stop the calculators from working, though it may affect the ads you see.

How we use information

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined by law. Because we don't maintain user accounts, the data we directly hold is minimal. To make a request or ask a question about your data, contact us using the contact page.

Children's privacy

calcgeeks is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and security

We keep email correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request. We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be reflected here.
